The Wednesday Lottery
Originally a twice weekly lottery syndicate, until prices went up, around 10 of my fellow workers held onto the dream that one day we would actually scoop the jackpot and be able to follow our dreams.
If we could have some fun on the way, to take their minds away from the futile gesture of chucking £2 a week away apart from anything else, then so be it.
At least we funded some good causes along the way. We did get 5 numbers once….
