In order to pass the time, and reward the industrious capitalists in the Team,
sickie drinks was invented.

Each year a spreadsheet was kept noting the number of sick days each person
had.  It was agreed that each day would be worth a pint, or £4 in old
money.

Then once a year in May, we would collect the previous years money and put it behind
the bar.  Thus rewarding those hard working team members.

If you believe this is exploiting those poor unfortunate souls who got ill for
money, then just think that this was no worse than BUPA.

I’d argue this medicine was far better too.
